Nothing excited Dad (JCL) more than a great bull calf. Meet JCL’s Legacy. His attitude says he knows he’s good - even as a seven month old calf. His look says: “You won’t forget me.” He’s green, yet thick. Big boned, yet angular and smooth. His top says “I am for real”. He started his life (and is still known in the barn) as “Robinhood”. We think this bull calf, and his new owner(s) are destined for many adventures – in the showring and beyond.

Her full brother is JCL Legacy (AKA Robinhood). That would be enough for most folks to want to own her. Robin is a strong heifer in her own right. She is super correct, easy doing and very calm. Like her brother, she loves to strike a pose. Like her stall mate, JCL Lucy, Robin is one of those heifers we have used to train the younger heifers to walk (to the picture pen, the wash rack, etc.). Like other heifers in the sale, she’ll do even better with time. She is an easy doing “no problems” kind of gal!

JCL J-Lo has quiet style. Honestly, this is one that looks much better today, in person, than in her picture. Dad might say, this is one you would miss, if you never saw her in person. She is smooth from tip to tail. She was a little under the weather in the days leading up to her picture, so we’ll try to post a more recent one on Facebook. Dad (JCL) loved Covergirl. This heifer was his favorite from the time she was about 8 weeks old. He loved her front end, her angle of shoulder, her natural depth, and her movement. He thought she was stunning. He also believed that she would make a donor material cow, long after her show days were behind her. He named her early, and that name stuck.

We used MLK Big Foot a bit for this calf crop. Here's the oldest of the Big Foot daughters... JCL Lucy... born in September. Lucy is a maternal half sib to JCL Coco and JCL Covergirl. Lucy is a heifer that we use to walk the "rookies" to the wash rack... She's a mother hen. (She came in the barn when everyone else did... but she has assumed that role.)

This baby tank is just a November. She's a little chunk right now... but as that baby fat comes away, she will look sleeker and better. This heifer is from a growthy, very correct J6 cow. Her dam is an up-and-coming donor in the JCL program.
