I named this donor after my wife for many reasons. They are both good-looking blondes who have raised good-looking offspring, but they were a little crazy in their earlier days. Iowa wild and Idaho wild is about as similar as Iowa corn and Idaho corn. After a few rounds night and morning of a hot shot lighting her up while getting donor shots, she quickly succumbed to a 9-volt battery and has been a gem. She has raised an outstanding Red Angus female we kept in Idaho and an excellent steer we sold this year that went to Arizona. This stout girl could be a big hit crossed with some clean bulls from Horn. We sold her donor mother to Brad Otto a few years back, and a maternal sib sells as lot 93.
