Playboys Boon Lena ~ Josie is a four-year-old sorrel mare that stands at 14 hds. She is out of the Fortin Quarter Horse program in Oberlin Ks and has the solid cow breeding. She is a little horse with a lot of power and a big heart who does not know she is small. She has a lot of feel and is very responsive as well as being quick-footed. Always with an “I can do attitude” and ready for anything. Josie was started in Texas as a two-year-old by a successful cow horse trainer and competitor. She returned home with the understanding that she was on the smaller side and should take some time to grow. Josie was hauled from Kansas to southeastern Washington with zero issues, she is a great traveler. Loads and unloads with ease. Never missing an opportunity to eat or drink. Since her arrival in Washington, she has been ranched/cowboyed in a variety of places. Ranging from thick timber to rocky, rough hills, she is sure footed as they come. Josie has drug numerous calves to the fire and gathered and split pairs. She’s roped calves outside to be treated for health and pulled bulls and pairs out of the herd. Given Josie’s small size she goes right to a cow when asked, she has potential to make someone a non pro cow horse. She has been started as a heel horse but also has a lot of potential as a breakaway horse. She stands for the farrier. Josie is a solid horse with a lot of potential to go in any direction.
