“Roany” SORTING MACHINE! Roany is a 12-year-old 14.1 hand Cowboy Cool bay roan gelding who is an open level sorting gelding. Sired by He’s Double Smart, grandson of Dual Pep, out of Duallys Fishhook, a daughter of Grays Starlight. Roany has spent his career as an open level sorter and has been hauled extensively by Jon Davis to RNSC shows, including running TOP 10 at the RNSC World Finals. Roany has spent the last 4 years as a top ranch horse at Whiskey Ranch, with a stint working at an Oklahoma feedlot. Roany has A LOT of lateral movement, a big stop and can be very aggressive on cattle when ask. He will rope, cut, sort, drag, hold, doctor and has serious speed in the pasture to chase down cattle. Although Roany is a serious athlete, we let a wide variety of riders enjoy Roany at the ranch. He has been a babysitter for newer riders on countless trail rides. Roany is an easy keeper. He lives in a pasture full of horses and is gets along with everyone. He loads, hauls, ties and is good for the farrier.
